Digitek FAQ's

What is Digitek®?

Digitek® is the brand name for Digoxin tablets, USP 0.125 mg and 0.25 mg, prescribed for patients with heart problems. These tablets are also known as Digitalis, Cardoxin, Lanoxin, and Lanoxicaps.

Why is Digitek® prescribed for treating heart problems?

The drug Digoxin improves the strength and efficiency of the heart, which leads to better circulation of blood and reduction of uncomfortable swelling, which is quite common in people with congestive heart failure.  Digoxin also helps the heart to beat more strongly and regularly.  The drug is typically prescribed along with a water pill to relieve swelling and an ACE inhibitor to improve blood circulation.

What are the side effects of the intake of the drug?

Side effects can include blurred vision, apathy, change in heartbeat, loss of appetite, confusion, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, vomiting, weakness, nausea, yellow vision, lower stomach pain or low blood pressure.  Side effects cannot be anticipated.  However, if you develop any complications inform your doctor as soon as possible.

Where should I report of any adverse reactions with the use of Digitek®?

You should report serious adverse events, product quality problems, or product use errors relating to Digitek® to the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting Program:

You can access the FDA website for more details:
http://www.fda.gov/medwatch/how.htm

Has Digitek® been recalled in any other countries?

No. The recall is only in the United States.

How can I receive legal compensation for adverse effects caused by Digitek®?

It is very important that you contact an experienced attorney immediately if you feel you have suffered adverse effects due to Digitek®.  All states have statutes of limitations that determine the period allowed for filing a Digitek® lawsuit.  To determine what time limits apply to you, contact the law offices of Capretz & Associates for legal advice regarding Digoxin or for filing a Digitek® lawsuit.
